2016 Schedule and Results as Peggy sees them
Monday, April 25, 2016 Howard Red vs Carroll Gray.....It's the dawning of a brand new season. Go get 'em guys. It's never good to open a season against Red but there were some bright moments to build on. First, a big welcome to Willie and Charlie...looks like good additions to the team. It was good to see families come out to support the guys...altho the one son left before his father (Sonny..the birthday guy) made a spectacular play. Where are the video cameras when you need them? And speaking of fantastic plays, how about those catches that Dick made at 3rd. Don't know whether to call him Brooks or Manny. Joe still has good reflexes to nail those line drives back to the pictching moung.. You would think that as well as Howard Red can direct their hits, they could keep from trying to kill out pitchers. Oh well, that's just my thought. The bats will come to life. I will hear it if I don't point out that Dave was 6 for 6, Ray 4/6, Marshall, Sonny, Willie all were .500 hitters. Lost both games 16 -5 and 16 -9, The second game was closer than the score shows..until the 7th inning.
